Dal 18 al 20 maggio il nostro istituto ha avuto il piacere di ospitare un gruppo di studenti e docenti provenienti da Maribor, in Slovenia, nell’ambito delle attività del programma Erasmus+.

Nonostante il breve periodo di permanenza, gli ospiti hanno avuto l’opportunità di conoscere da vicino la realtà della nostra scuola, partecipando a numerose attività laboratoriali e culturali che hanno permesso loro di scoprire l’offerta formativa e le eccellenze del nostro istituto.

Particolarmente apprezzata è stata la visita ai laboratori professionali, dove gli studenti sloveni hanno potuto sperimentare in prima persona alcune delle attività che quotidianamente coinvolgono i nostri ragazzi.

Nel laboratorio ODO hanno realizzato disegni anatomici dei denti e svolto attività di modellazione della cera; nel laboratorio di Ottica hanno effettuato misurazioni della vista utilizzando specifiche apparecchiature professionali; nel laboratorio Moda hanno dato spazio alla creatività realizzando bozzetti su figurini; infine, nel laboratorio STEM hanno costruito e programmato automobili Lego, mettendo alla prova competenze di robotica, coding e problem solving.

Gli ospiti sono rimasti particolarmente colpiti dalla qualità delle attività proposte, dalla preparazione degli studenti e dall’elevato livello di specializzazione dei laboratori, esprimendo grande apprezzamento per l’approccio pratico e innovativo che caratterizza il percorso formativo del nostro istituto.

Le attività non si sono limitate all’ambito scolastico. Nel pomeriggio il gruppo ha avuto modo di scoprire alcune delle eccellenze storiche e culturali del territorio, visitando il Museo della Liquirizia Amarelli e il centro storico di Rossano, dove ha potuto ammirare il prezioso Codex Purpureus Rossanensis, testimonianza di straordinario valore storico e artistico.

Ampio spazio è stato dedicato anche allo sport e alla socializzazione. Gli studenti hanno partecipato a due progetti sportivi organizzati sulla spiaggia, vivendo momenti di condivisione e collaborazione all’aria aperta. L’esperienza si è conclusa con un coinvolgente torneo di pallavolo nella palestra della scuola, che ha favorito ulteriormente la conoscenza reciproca e lo spirito di squadra.

Questa breve ma intensa esperienza ha rappresentato un’importante occasione di scambio culturale e di crescita personale per tutti i partecipanti, confermando ancora una volta il valore del programma Erasmus+ nel creare ponti tra culture diverse e promuovere una cittadinanza europea sempre più consapevole, inclusiva e partecipata.

Il nostro istituto desidera ringraziare gli studenti e i docenti di Maribor per l’entusiasmo, la curiosità e la disponibilità dimostrati durante la visita, con l’auspicio che i legami di amicizia e collaborazione nati in questi giorni possano proseguire nel tempo.

Erasmus+ at Our School: Welcoming Students from Maribor, Slovenia

From May 18th to May 20th, our school had the pleasure of hosting a group of students and teachers from Maribor, Slovenia, as part of the Erasmus+ programme.

Although their stay was relatively short, our guests had the opportunity to experience many aspects of school life and discover the educational excellence of our institute through a wide range of activities.

A highlight of the visit was the exploration of our vocational and technical laboratories, where Slovenian students were able to take part in practical activities alongside their Italian peers.

In the Dental Technology laboratory, students drew dental structures and worked with modelling wax. In the Optical laboratory, they learned how eyesight is measured using professional equipment and instruments. In the Fashion laboratory, they expressed their creativity by designing fashion sketches on figurines. Finally, in the STEM laboratory, students built and programmed Lego vehicles, developing skills in robotics, coding and problem-solving.

The visitors were genuinely impressed by the quality of the laboratories, the level of student involvement and the innovative teaching approaches adopted by our school. They expressed great appreciation for the practical and hands-on learning experiences offered in each department.

The programme also included cultural visits in the afternoons. The group visited the famous Amarelli Liquorice Museum and explored the historic centre of Rossano, where they had the opportunity to admire the renowned Codex Purpureus Rossanensis, one of the most important Byzantine manuscripts in the world.

Sport and social interaction also played an important role during the mobility. Students participated in two beach sports projects, enjoying moments of teamwork and friendship in a relaxed environment. The experience concluded with an exciting volleyball tournament held in the school gymnasium, further strengthening the bonds between Italian and Slovenian students.

Despite its short duration, this mobility experience proved to be rich in learning opportunities, cultural exchange and personal growth. It once again highlighted the importance of Erasmus+ projects in building bridges between different cultures and promoting active, inclusive and responsible European citizenship.

Our school would like to thank the students and teachers from Maribor for their enthusiasm, curiosity and willingness to participate in every activity. We hope that the friendships and collaborations established during these days will continue well into the future.
